What have I lost?

Hello friends

I’m sure you’ll recognise the thoughts and feelings in this blog. It’s about loss and grieving—my guess is that it’s relevant to anyone who has suffered loss in their lives.

Here I’m reflecting on the way in which one loss triggers memories of other losses.

The blog begins with an account of learning to understand emotions. That’s something that you may take for granted. But for me it meant learning to label emotions at the ripe old age of 30-something. Learning words for emotions was a major step in my recovery journey. And who knows, maybe there’s a lesson here for everyone?

PS This is a picture I took of my car when it was crying!
