National speaker

Serena is an accomplished speaker, who can deliver keynote addresses, talks or training to shed light on trauma, abuse, and mental toughness.  Abandoned by her birth mother, fostered then abused by her adoptive family, her determination, grit and courage has served as a role model to countless individuals.



Serena’s life experience

Serena is a founding Director of Goddard Consultants and has a wide and varied background in senior management, training and coaching. Following her degree in French and Mediaeval History at Lancaster University and Université de Grenoble III, she began her career in Tourism, working in Egypt and Europe.


She worked in Brussels for 5 years in European Institutions and the Private sector; and completed an MBA before returning to England. Here her experience includes Senior Posts in Higher Education and the NHS in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing and Public involvement.


She holds a Diploma in Performance Coaching and has obtained QTLS—accreditation of professional standards required to be able to teach in Further Education, maintained schools, non-maintained special schools or pupil referral units in England.


Serena has also served as a Non-Executive Director in an NHS Mental Health Trust; and in the Voluntary sector as a Trustee and Treasurer of Community Voluntary Partners in Bolsover. She is currently a Trustee of Enable.
